Since February we have been researching and learning about the new developments in cider. The standard pint of draught cider is no more, as demand increases for better quality and a wider variation the market has exploded. To help me decide which ciders we should stock for the summer outside of our standard range, I decided the best way was a few cheeky taste tests.

Although all very different all the ciders we tasted were very good and to help us reach our decision we looked into the cider makers.

The outcome of our research was that the choice is no vast we could never develop a range wide enough for every taste, so we have decided to rotate our craft cider range. Our current range are the teams favourites. Come and have a try and let us know your thoughts for our next rotation.

Our first rotation will include:

ROSIE’S PIG HANDBRAKE STILL CLOUDY CIDER WITH DAMSON 4%

Medium-sweet, cloudy, and slowly matured still cider made from Herefordshire apples and a generous helping of fruity damson juice. *****STAFF FAVOURITE!!*****

CURIOUS APPLE 5.2%

A premium cider drawing inspiration from winemaking rather than cidermaking. Unlike almost all commercial ciders, there is no concentrate used or water. This is 100% pure Kent apple juice.

ASPALL SUFFOLK DRAUGHT CYDER 5.5%

A taste of fruity, dry, racy, thirst quenching and lip smacking

CORNISH ORCHARD BLUSH CIDER 4%

An exceptional, gently sparkling cider with the fruity aroma of fresh raspberries and a crisp, dessert apple finish. A fruity, well balanced cider.

MELA ROSSA 5%

An Italian craft cider made in Trentino Alto-Adige (Italy) from 100% Italian apples. It is a palatable, sweet, naturally sparkling apple cider.

CAPLE RD BLEND NO 5 DRY 5%

Double filtered. Crisp, dry & complex with a powerful tart finish

ANGRY ORCHARD 5%

This crisp and refreshing cider mixes the sweetness of apples with a subtle dryness for a balanced cider taste. The fresh apple aroma and slightly sweet, ripe apple flavour make this cider hard to resist.
